Xan Camping!

Xan and I went camping/backpacking in Seattle. What a fun time! What a heavy pack! I had bruises. Dummy!

A chipmunk crawled in Xan's pack, made me scream like a girl, crapped in Xan's bag (the chipmunk, not me) and then proceeded to yell at me in his/her chirpy rodent voice for kicking him/her out of the pack. Ahhh, nature.

Above you see Xan and I lifting large rocks, Surprise Lake (elevation 4500ish feet) and Xan, smiling and looking all lawyerly-seattley-I-hiked-Alaska-aren't-I-coolish.

Tibbs in a Hammock

I'm going Bicycle/Hammock Camping this weekend. In celebration, I made the cat a hammock. She loves it. I made two different designs, and she prefers this one. I think. She might just prefer that spot because it's so well-protected with the dog crate and all... Tibbs is rather strategic.
